I look like a penguin when I run / jog...

I'm trying to correct my positioning when I run... Sometimes I'm good, but sometimes I feel like a running penguin. Any way to fix that ?

Do you feel like you're running like a penguin because it hurts to run normally?
You have to spot what causes that bad posture. Does it only happen when you're sore? When it hurts? When you've been running for a long time?

It's normal for the posture to go down a bit when you are tired (tired legs, zigzagging, wobbly hands)... but if it hurts too much to run properly, then you should stop and try to do something that's low impact. Consider the elliptical or the bike when that happens.

Maybe your shoes have something to do with it as well. So many possible causes.

    Are you a penguin?

    Because then it's probably normal.

The best thing you can do is video yourself running. I know it sounds weird but it's the best feedback you can give yourself. Video when you first begin to run, this should give you a good picture as usually you are trying to maintain form. Then video yourself when you are tired and struggling again this will help by showing you what needs to be corrected.

It's hard to tell what's wrong without seeing you. Try to get an experienced runner to watch your form. Or at least video yourself, as was said. My guess is you are rotating your arms too much instead of pointing them forward, which is causing excess rotational movement throughout your body. But that's just a blind guess.

    That sounds hilarious lol

But seriously, do you mean that you're not bending your knees? Your hips are tight?
