Hello MFP,
I'm thinking about converting a bedroom in my apartment in to a home gym. The problem is the flooring is carpet and I'm not allowed to tear it up.
Does anyone have any ideas how to do the conversion w/o ruining the carpet?
Thanks!

If it is a low pile carpet, you could probably use 4'x6'x3/4" stable mats to fit the area. I originally put mine over the 2x2 puzzle mats I have in my workout area because I didn't want to take the time to take the puzzle mats out. Later when reorganizing my workout area I took out the puzzle mats, but when I had them underneath they were quite stable. I would think that would be the same on a low pile carpet.0

Put down plywood sheets and cover them with those stable mats that the poster above mentions.0

What a part of our carpeted home gym looks like. Mats are by Cap Barbell. Available on Amazon.

Putting down plywood sheets would be a good idea to keep the floor more stable during squats and heavy lifting. The only problem is I don't have the transportation to bring them to my place (bike commuter)... Time to call some buds with cars!0
