liquid cals and bars

ok so on my quest to gain weight... I have a hard time to get in my calories with food, i have two, sometimes three protein shakes a day... is that ok?
ok also... when its getting later in the evening and i still have quite a bit left to get in... im almost never hungry, is it ok to just have a protein bar..like a quest bar? iv also noticed i don't get as much as i should during the day and from about 7pm on im left with having to get about 600+ cals...is that bad?
i know my main goal is to gain, but i also don't want to accumulate too much fat by going about it in the wrong way... not trying to sound stupid, just trying to understand... thank you for any advice/ help :)

  • I have 3 shakes a day: Morning, post workout and before bed. I also have a bar a day so no its not bad. The way i had to do my bulk was add 1-200 cals to every meal and i stop eating after 7pm (although i have protein shake right before Bed). Try to get in some peanut butter, nuts ect. calories loaded foods that are healthy for you. As long as you dont go over your calories by alot you wont gain alot of fat.

IMO I think that you should always strive to eat as much real food as possible and keep the shakes/bars to a minimum...
