Hi there! I have been using My Fitness Pal for about a month now and have lost a whopping 15lbs all in all, so just over a stone! I havent really done a lot of excercise as have a very stressful job so dont realy have the time or energy, all my weight loss is purely through counting calories! I have tried numerous diets and none of them have come close to this one. I am using this diet through an application on my phone, it really is handy to have as I have it with me at all times! I will openly admit, I found it quite difficult at first as you are cutting down what you eat, however after losing 5lbs in the first week, that was more than enough to spur me on and I now find it easy to follow :)

I have to say My Fitness Pal has been truly fantastic and I urge everyone to try it!! x

    I complete agree.

I am in the same boat as you. I have been on it three weeks and have lost 15 pounds. The only thing I have done is to count calories.

I've heard calories is 80% of weight loss.

I'm not much for excerise and like you I found it really hard to stay under my calorie goal at first but three weeks later I'm having trouble staying under.

I am glad that you are having success.

    It feels good.

    Keep up the good work.

exercise will help as you slow down in losing pounds. It's ok to make one change at a time. Congratulations on getting it done.

and yes, once you slow down with the wt gain, exercise really helps, plus it tones you and gives you lots of energy and mentally made me feel soooo much better!

Congratulations on your weight loss. Don't get discouraged if you hit a plateau or you slip up occasionally remember one day won't ruin you so just keep logging in. Too many people don't log their food on the days they know they're doing bad because they don't want it staring them in the face and one day of not logging leads to 1 week of not logging and then 1 month of not logging and then you never see them again.

Hold yourself accountable even on bad days and you will succeed!

JUST KIDDING!!! I've been here just a little less than you, and have seen only inches come off! No weight loss! I know the number on the scale can be evil and there might be progress elsewhere, but that stupid number has to go down sometime! Good job, and keep it up!

I havent always been eating my calories (not on purpose mind, just because what I have eaten has filled me so wont eat my calories just for eatings sake), however sometimes I have gone over so it kinda equals out. Your not doing anything wrong so dont worry, everyones metabolisms are different, some are a lot faster than others so that could be why you have not yet seen results. I bet you that all of a sudden a huge chunk of weight drops off and you will be like 'WOW'!!! Keep it up and dont get disheartened because it truly does work, just may take a little while. Let me know of your progress hun, good luck x

LOL its all good hehe ;) Like I have just written to the weightloss32 above, everyones metabolisms are different so it could be that all of a sudden a big chunk of weight dissappears hun! Inches are a good think to as inches are what able you to get into your smaller clothes again hehe! If you have been working out, muscle can sometimes cause you to seem heavier, also when are you weighing yourself? Do't do it at night and dont do it more than once a week, weigh yourself one morning a week and I bet you notice a difference :) x Thanks hun and good luck yourself, keep me up to date with progress :) x

Forgive me, I'm still learning how to use the site but I agree with the quote I posted. Very good advice. I've found that logging on and posting what I eat is helping me.
    Congrats on the loss!:blushing: :flowerforyou:

You got it, chica! We don't have a scale. I haven't weighed in a couple weeks, since I was at my dr's office, so I might be griping for no reason. lol I want to get one, even if it's from the thrift store. The trick is getting hubby to get one for me. haha
  • Congrats!!! I just finished my first week using My Fitness Pal and I am 5 lbs lighter! It is a great encouragement to hear your story. My boyfriend started the calorie counting on here as well so that makes it worlds easier to stick to a healthy diet. Keep up the progress and thanks for posting your results!

Tish_Tosh, you are too much. My humor is a bit dry sometimes, but my effort to try to get people to understand my joke is even funnier than the joke itself at times
