Must rant about broken foot

I posted before about breaking my foot two weeks ago now. Well, I've been a food bender. I'm the type that looks at food and gains. I haven't been gaining tons of actual weight but holy you know what, I have been gaining inches. I'm shocked at how it's just ballooned like crazy.
But I owe myself some brownie points, or in this case pizza and pastries and wine and beer. Yup, I'm depressed. I don't drive so I can't leave the house unless I wanna hemorrhage money in cab fare. I can't work out in any capacity that's going to make a difference so I pretty much tossed in the towel this past two weeks.
Combine that with me having been on a backslide the two weeks before, I'm depressed, gaining at least 3 and a half inches on my waist and have a long way of recovery time to go before I can hit the elliptical...ugh! Why me! I hate you broken footsie! I hate thee!
I want to get back to where I was before and I want my active job back but this just seems so hopeless. I can't seem to keep my figures out of the fridge and when I do go over for a snack or meal, I become possessed and auto-cruz for something I shouldn't be eating. I've been eating some healthy meals and I'm trying to drink tons of water but I'm a straight up coffee *kitten* and Im so damn munchie! Help... Yes I've tried reading, masturbating and watching tv... You'd be surprised how fast you finish those activities when you have 4-8 weeks of down time...grrrr!
recipe ideas, activity ideas?

Grab an exercise ball and start doing a **** load of crunches and other stomach and stretching. I train for boxing and I do 20 minutes of stretching on that ball before every workout and 20 minutes of abs after every workout. If you use it correctly, you wont hurt your foot and you'll def. break a nice sweat in 20 minutes, I garauntee. Also, get rid of all unhealthy food lying around, buy healthy snacks next time you go shopping so you have no choice but to eat clean. Good luck, it will go quick.0

So sorry to hear this, I can sort o relate, I had foot surgery a couple of years ago. I was in bed for several days before I was allowed to walk. So the only food I could eat had to be brought to me. I did my best to not ask for my favourites. The previous poster had some great ideas for exercises. Are you allowed to use a walking cast -- when my son broke his foot (twice) each time he got an air cast so that he could walk around and keep moving. Unfortunately we feel we "deserve" these treats when we are "broken" all I can suggest (and it's so easy to suggest) is that you limit what you have available. And I know, I know, it just sucks!!! Aside from exercise do you do any sort of handiwork - I am sure you are too young but one of the best things for me is to crochet or cross-stitch. I try to have a project on the go, try it while you are healing whether you ever do it again or not. If you haven't done it try and teach yourself and at the very least if you make something you can donate it to a shelter or hospice when you are done.
Get better soon
