  • Hi, welcome to doing mfp. I would suggest changing up on what you are snacking on, if you don't get actual meals I would so try having a few packs (buy the big one and make your own packs) of jerky and nuts. I have a desk job myself so it's easy just to reach over for a snack. I bring fruit and veggies with me for my snack, and to help with dairy string cheese is great. I am more then willing to be your friend on here if you are looking for some extra support. I did all the other diets a long time ago and couldn't lose anything I started getting a little more active and counting my calories and I've lost a total of 60 pounds in the last couple of years.

What I think is important being fenced with diabetic is to eat only 3 times a day and not to eat anything between for min. 4 hours so the insulin level could decrease. My doctor explained it very comprehensible and it really makes sense. Almonds are also a good snack, but not more than 15 a day.
