My friend Kathy called me yesterday in complete shock and humiliation. She took a nakkey picture of herself on her phone and went to send it to her boyfriend, Dave. Well, Dave is listed in her phone right next to "Dad" and yep...she sent it to her father by accident!:noway: :embarassed: She called her dad and said "Ummm..dad..I just sent you a text. Please delete it immediately and do not open it." Well, he said "Too late." He just opened it a second before she called him. She is beyond embarrassed! I would be mortified!

I've been known to send drunken texts to random people about stupid **** late at night. I have no recollection of it until I check my phone. Gotta turn off my phone when drinking!

You are assuming they aren't stealing it "just" for the pics.

My poor Bible-thumping father would probably have a heart attack and kill over right there on the spot.

If I did this I'm afraid I would be held responsible for someone's death (heart attack, shock, stroke, suicide).........or sending them into a mental institution because their eye balls would be forever emblazoned with a sight not fit for human consumption. :embarassed:

As a parent of kids ages 7-21...I always tell the older ones that if they would be embarassed for me to witness their behavior, it's probably not a good idea to do it. Digit files never die. And I don't ever want to see my kids in naked photos on any electronic device (or non electronic platform). Just say no to nekkid shots!!!

My phone makes me scared. Like it's lying in wait for me to accidentally hit a button and BOOM. Anthony Weiner style all over the net.

I've accidentally sent texts to the wrong people, and fully clothed pics to the wrong people. It teaches you to be exceedingly careful with the junk/naked pics. I did however accidentally click on an...inappropriate link while at work today.

And I had a friend who sent her hubby a fun little file, only to have same file show up on the main screen at the Verizon store when he took the phone there for repairs....

    Happens all the time!

I had a pic on my phone in a compromising position with my boyfriend. Then, this little punk at work stole my phone. Needless to say, I learned my lesson about keeping pics like that on my phone.

As a Public Safety Announcement - remember to CLEAR OUT all your texts and files and photos before donating your phone to the "box for soldiers" or trading it in for any other charity phone recycling project. SERIOUSLY.

There's a box at my old bookstore that people could put their phones into to donate them to overseas soldiers who didn't have a phone. My little kids came in one day, took a phone out of the box and brought it home, thinking it was my phone (same make and color). I thought it was mine too, until I charged it up and turned it on. Needless to say, I found out that a rather prominent,"pillar of our community" woman owned that phone, and had a LOT of compromising and graphic photos of her and a man who wasn't her husband on it. Talk about potentially destructive to her community standing!!

The delete button is your best friend!

Before I had a smartphone with apps, I used to post updates and photos by texting things to Facebook. My husband Fritz's name was right below it in my address book.

Thankfully, the only thing I accidentally posted to FB instead of to him was, "OMG... I can't stop farting." Which isn't all that different from what I might post on FB anyway.

And on a side note, I LOVE your profile pic! O-H...

That is awful .. I think listing her bf as a nic-name that is away from
Dad in her listings is best.
