Ready to start again...and find a different ending...

Hello everyone,

About three years ago, I arrived at my highest weight, panicked, got tired of my unhealthy lifestyle, and made some serious changes. I lost 35 pounds over about six months and kept it off for a couple of years. About a year ago, I completely gave up on my healthy habits, and oh-so-easily slipped back into my old ways. Forty pounds later, at age 40, I've found myself at my new highest weight.

This is a scary and challenging time of year as it's way too simple to eat heavier and more comforting foods as the temperature drops and the extra pounds become easier to hide under warm and bulky layers. I am terrified to think about what number the scale will settle on in January if I keep going as I have been. I don't want to wait for a New Year's Resolution to be the healthiest and fittest I can be; I want to start now.

So here I am, looking for a new kind of healthy lifestyle that I can maintain and enjoy for the very long term.

I look forward to getting to know other members, and hope I can be a cheerleader for those who need it!

Thanks, and good luck to all...!
