Survived Thanksgiving

I made it through today and ended at 1200 calories and am so proud of myself!!! I had 0 solid carbs today (only 100 percent fruit juice) and passed up cheesecake, apple pie, pumpkin pie, lemon murang (sp?) and chocolate cookies.

This sacrifice better be worth it - i have a fitness assessment on wednesday and want to put my best foot forward to loose these 6 lbs.

Sorry for any typos above I'm only my father-in-laws Ipad while tempting left overs are being packed up and I HATE all things Mac, so not user friendly, thats all a myth!

Who else made it through today with flying colours? If you failed let us know that too so I can live vicariously through you lol

Edit: hey, this is my 300th post, how fitting it is of an accomplishment.

Congrats!! Not Turkey day here in the U.S until next month, but my plan is to have one plate of food and one helping of dessert. I'll make sure i have a light breakfast and maybe a bowl of veggies before bed lol

Me too! I managed through dinner without eating anything I regret and I even had enough calories for a light pumpkin dessert :)

    Way to go, Heather!! :drinker:

Seeing as I am in the US and it's my first time on the website, I am THANKFUL that I have a little over 1 month to gear up towards Thanksgiving...I am sure it will be an epic battle of temptation vs. willpower. Plus, this year, my birthday happens to fall on Thanksgiving...Will my birthday cake calories count??

Yes, quite a feat of willpower! I agree with Junebug. I'm thankful our Thanksgiving is still on the way. Either this holiday will kill us all, or we need to put our heads together and plan a healthy menu. But you came through just great!

Sometimes our families will cook a HUGE meal..like I faced with last year. I had no control then, this time I will. I will look for as much fruits/veggies i can..lol

I had my first Thanksgiving lunch on Saturday. I would have been ok had it not been for the stuff I ate when I got home. And I was really, really hungry after I ate my lunch. So I went over that day. I have my second Thanksgiving dinner today so plan to eat light the rest of the day and see what happens. Hopefully I will be under this time or not too much over. The only veggies will be squash and turnip and I don't like either so should be interesting.

    Wish me luck please.
