Hi. Wee question. When exercising. The calories you burn off are you meant to eat them again to reach your daily target of calorie intake?

You should eat a minimum of your daily goal. The calories burned from exercise can be eaten but you will have a greater chance for weight loss if these calories remain a deficit. So to answer your question...no you do not HAVE to eat these calories.0

The number MFP gives you is already a deficit, so when you exercise, you are creating even more of a deficit. You should eat back most of your exercise calories, especially if you find your weight loss stalling.0

Thanks. I've eaten my calories for that day , but walked 10 miles and burned off 1.100 calories when worked out on exercise page. So not sure if I had to eat the calories I burned off. Thanks again0

FYI, MFP greatly overexagerates caloric burn. If you're using MFP to estimate calorie burn, I would start by cutting it by ~20%.

The above gives a good explanation of exercise calories and why to eat them back.0 -
Ultimately, it depends on how you calculated your daily calorie goal.
