    Here is a fun calculator just enter age/sex/height/weight and it calculates where you fit in on the global fat scale and compares you with a person from another country.

      sorry...it wasn't an intended insult. Everybody's got a different body, and mine certainly couldn't handle a 20 BMI

      BMI or 25 so I'm basically categorized as the lowest number in the overweight category.

      My BMI is lower than 78% of males in my country.

      I have a higher BMI than 57% of males worldwide.

      Tonga is an island nation in the South Pacific. Polynesians are known for being extremely obese.
      There are some interesting studies on that, actually. They were early navigators, and known to travel great distances. They settled Hawaii from small canoes.
      It is thought that perhaps Polynesia is so inclined to obesity is that generations of those travels led to selecting for people who were able to put on a lot of body fat easily, and then last a long time off of it slowly over a long journey, to survive very long distances with food. Some very interesting hypotheses in there.

      Okay, supposedly I'm most like someone from Iran. If that's the case, maybe those sanctions really aren't doing their job. And if everyone in the world had the same BMI that I do, which is physically impossible because some people are babies and children at any given time, yes, it would be a very fat place. All the more reason to promote the consistent use of contraception and control world population.
