getting so frustrated (no weight loss)

I've been watching what I eat, counting cals and doing exercise and for some reason the last two weeks I can't seem to shift any weight! What am I doing wrong??

Well, I looked at your food diary for the last week + and you were over just about every day last week. Plus several high sodium days. Both of these things would definitely lead to a stall in weight loss. Try to stick closer to your daily goal. Get a little more exercise in if you can to give you some more wiggle room through earned calories. And make sure you're drinking plenty of water to offset that high sodium intake.

    Good luck!

First things first. Be 100% sure you are logging accurately by measuring and weighing EVERYTHING you eat. Even Ketchup has calories. Log it all even if it seems silly.

Second, Plateaus happen. Change it up a bit. Try a new exercise. Focus on goals that are not scale oriented. I have a long list of fitness goals listed in my profile. They are small and easy to start with. When the scale is not moving, I cross a fitness goal or two off my list! It is super motivating. Did you measure when you started? You may be losing inches but not lbs. This happened to me for three weeks. The third week I was so frustrated that I measured myself and I lost several inches over my whole body from the start. I'm in what I hope is the end of a second plateau. I have crossed off 3 fitness goals today. I frankly don't care what the scale says today because my body is telling me that I am improving in skill and ability! I am down 20 lbs in 50 days. 1 lb every 2.5 days. 2.8 lbs a week. The scale is still moving even if it goes a couple of weeks at a stand-still.

Water retention. Up your water intake and be patient.

great, except that this won't have any effect on weight loss progress.

according to your diary, you are consistently over your calorie goal. that would pretty much explain the problem, i think.

I looked over your food, too. You did go a lot, but a few of these days was as little as 4 cals. Took a look at sodium, but I don't think that could be a culprit as you rarely went over in the 2 week period. My big question is what is your current weight and height? It only says you wish to lose 70lbs. but without knowing your weight, height, other factors are missing like age, BMR, etc. But I'm thinking your cals, on average, are too high. When you go over a bit, it's ok. Try getting more rest, more consistent exercise, and lots of water. And try not to stress! Give yourself time to get adjusted and not freak out. Hopefully it's just an adjustment thing and by next week you will see a loss. Get as close to your daily goal as possible so that your average over the long term is better. As a matter-of-fact, you may want to go to your home page, go to reports, and look at your numbers over the last few weeks. Cause I'm thinking that when you do you will see you've just had way too many overages. That plus the other and not stressing should do it. Good luck!

I reduced my cals from 1450 to 1300 over the last week and that's why I was over. Finding it harder to adjust but I will definitely take all the advice here and try not to go over my cals.
    I lost 1lb this morning!! Height is 5ft 7inch and weight 15st 3lbs

    Thanks all!
