Croc's tennis shoes?

Croc's tennis shoes? Has anyone tried these for fitness? Opinions?
Most shoes I have tried on have no cushion. That is what I am really looking for.

Suggestions?

  • Go to a running store and have them evaluate the type of shoe you should be wearing based on your feet and how you walk. They will be able to advise you on what works best (neutral, stability, support). A good shoe makes all the difference. I would not include crocs in that line up.

Crocs are for children, medical professionals, and Mario Batali.

I have had a foot injury since May and I am finally starting to feel relief, and believe it or not - it was due to getting some Crocs. I spent so much money on trying to find something to make my foot/ankle feel better! I even had xrays to make sure nothing was broke. Finally! and for those out there that think they know everything about shoes.... maybe you should open your mind!

One, I second go to a running type store and get your "feet" fitted for good shoes.

Crocs have their place, just I wouldn't consider them good athletic shoes, mainly for the lack of traction & foot support.

As to Fugly - I wear Vibrams (toe shoes), alot of people think those are Fugly, so appearance doesn't bother me as long as they work for what I need (which they do).

They look like any other shoes to me. Maybe not as colorful....???
Maybe you are thinking of the the well known look of crocs and not the sneaker. Try looking at all the dress shoes. They have a wide variety. Check out the site... they aren't just "clogs'' any more.

It doesn't matter who makes them... or what they look like.
If they don't offer the support you need, it won't make a difference. Go get fitted.
