So I have been using MFP for a week now and have only lost 2lbs I am not sure that if is good or not. I want to make sure that I am using MFP correctly I mean when I add my exercise routine I usually have some calories left is that a good thing I guess i am looking for fast results and don't want to get impatient and stop. My calorie intake is 1200 calories a day I think I end up eating more than that but since I exercise I usually get about between 600 or 700 of calories from exercise and at the end of the day i have about 200 calories or so left. But sometimes with having that many calories left I have gone over by a couple of numbers on my protein, or fat not so much on carbs.
Any input you guys could give me will be greatly appreciated
Thanks

That sounds about right--you should be losing 2 lb per week if you're goals are set to that. Congrats on your loss!0

Let me ask you, did you gain it over night? Biggest problem is when people do get impatient; they want it all off now. If you want it off and to stay off, don't just lose fat quickly, but change your life style and lose fat slowly. Otherwise, you will just be back where you started and more than likely just be heavier.
2 lbs a week is the most you should lose, but I guess you can do like the TV shows and drop 10 pounds a day and if you want, but then they never show you what happens the year after.0 -
Sounds like you're doing just fine. 2 lbs. in a week is great!!
I'm on 1200 cals/day, plus i usually eat about 50-75% of my exercise calories. You want to eat some of your exercise calories, because your body needs the extra fuel, but if you have 200 out of 600 or 700 left, that's a pretty good balance, in my opinion. I don't eat 100% of exercise calories back because it's so easy to overestimate what you burn and underestimate what you eat.
I usually try to balance out my carbs/fat/protein so that none of them is way off, but if you're using the MFP defaults, it's definitely okay to go over on protein - they only give you 15% for protein.
Keep up the good work!
A few tips - Make sure you monitor your sodium, too - it can make a HUGE difference. If you don't know how to add it, go to Settings while in your diary, and at that screen you can change what you see in your diary. Also, drink enough water! Learn to use the water log on the food diary - I'm still trying to make this a habit.Drinking enough water can make a big difference, too.

Today I weight my self and I gained one pound back, but than again did not eat that great on the weekend. I have changed the way I eat I am cooking with lean meat and more veggies, for snacks I am eating fruits or snacks that are 100 or below.0
