Fitness fanatic

I have been wanting to post on here for a while, but I have never really got the chance. So here it goes.

My name is Simone and I live in England. I'm 5'7 and I weigh 138 pounds. I run, swim, bike and weight train.

This was not me two years ago. Through my early teenage years, I didn't really have a care in the world, I ate what I want, did what I want and I sat around on the sofa all day eating cakes, sweets, pies... you name it.

Obviously, 160 pounds later, I wasn't happy. I was fortunate enough that both my parents own a gym and are both competing in body building competitions. They kicked me into shape and here I am today. I hope to compete myself one day.

I have joined this to keep myself motivated and hopefully learn some new tips and tricks when it comes to eating and exercising properly.

  • Hi Simone, :)

I'm Sarah, 5'5 and 143lbs. I run, bike and weight train - Saying that, the past 5 days i've had a bit of a break, for my body and my mind! But back to normal today.

Since finishing school I have been massively into fitness (I'm 28 now) and have been a bit of a cardio bunny, but only since January have I started taking weight training seriously - this is now my main focus. It is really changing the shape of my body and I love the results.

My early teenage years sound a little like yours! I wasn't really educated in nutrition, and ate what I wanted when i wanted.

How amazing it must be to have parents who are competing! Wow :)

Always listen to your body! I typically have a 1/2 weeks off every 4-5 months, to let my body finally have some chill time!

It's nice to hear about girls who like to weight train, the girls who compete at shows have AMAZING figures (and i'm not talking about the one's who are huge either).
