Question -- Net Carbs in diary entries

When I search for foods in the diary, sometimes I see entries with " (net carbs)" added in the title.
What does this mean? When I look at the nutrition facts they match the label - so why the "(net carbs)" in the title?

Some of us are on low carb diets such as Atkins and we do not count our caloric intake. We only count the net carbs in our diet. Net carbs are total carbs minus sugar alcohols or fiber.
So when adding a food item we can see the correct carb number and not have to go back later and subtract sugar alcohols or fiber. Makes it easier for us to keep track of when we need to.
