    Look at your breads and pastas... there are also some veggies & fruits that are higher in sugar that could be substituted by better alternatives, for instance:

    Higher sugar fruits to avoid if you're worried about sugar content -

    Strawberries
    Kiwi
    Bananas

    For lower sugars, go for blueberries, raspberries, apples. Any white starch such as potatoes will have sugars, as well as white rice, some wheat bread has added sugar for taste (but really, what's the point?). Also corn, peas, sweet potatoes, etc.

    Just take a look at the ingredients in your foods... if it doesn't have a package to know, then you're probably fine!
