Really Really need some advice

I am at my goal weight but really want to reduce my BF%. For a while I was doing some of fitness blender's strength and fat loss routines with weights and did quite enjoy them. I certainly felt I was "working" out when doing them. After reading tons of posts on MFP, I thought I should try to lift heavier at home to get a better shape as I am certainly not entirely happy with the final results of particularly my stomach (however some of my issue is definitely loose skin). I found a dumbbell only routine online at muscleandstrength.com that I have been trying but my problem with that is I am finding it hard to hold on to the dumbbells for some of the moves such as squats and lunges.

I'm not ready to join a gym yet but am wondering if I'm wasting my time with fitnessblender or even the dumbbell routine? Is a heavy lifting program such as stronglifts the only way I will really see results or should I persevere and keep doing the fitnessblender routines which I enjoy? With doing the dumbbell routine I'm losing my motivation because I know I can squat more etc.but find it difficult to hold the dumbbells for a length of time in my hands. I'm currently using 2 at 28lbs each.

Any thoughts or words of advice/support? I know how easily I can give up out of frustration and become totally sedentary again.

Get some wrist straps not costly you will be able to train with heavier weights.

I'm having the same frustration here. My hands cannot handle such heavy weight. If we increase our reps, are we defeating the ability to build muscle mass?

I don't know what fitnessblender is, but if you enjoy it, seems too bad to quit.
