Apple Chips
Here's a recipe I posted on my blog recently. It really satisfies my cravings for both something sweet and something crunchy! You can use this method of making apple chips to make any type of chip you like (carrot chips and beet chips are another favourite of mine!).

Great idea! I have done this with mangos and papayas when they were "in season" (which in New England means when they were imported at their lowest prices!) I will do this with what's left of my apple picking excursion.0

Mangos would be soooo good! I will have to pick a few up to try making chips with next time I'm at the store! Thanks for the tip.0

This happened to me when I made strawberry chips for the first time! The key is to slice whatever fruit you are using paper thin, literally as thin as you can possibly slice. They will seem kind of soft when you take them out of the oven, but they will continue to crisp up as they cool! Hopefully that helps!0 -
Gonna try it today!
What did you think?0 -
I use a counter top dehydrator for apples sprinkled with cinnamon, bananas and fresh pineapple, keeps alot longer than fresh so a bulk deal on fruit purchases doesn't mean throwing alot away if the household has a low fruit consumption rate. ie single person.0
