Need help/references/books/etc on diet for....

I'm looking for information on changing our diets to help with easing back and neck pain. My husband and I both have been suffereing from chronic back and neck pain for years, blaming the mattress, blaming stress, etc. I believe a large part of it has to do with our diet. Neither of us are "overweight". He is extremely muscular, exercises daily, probably 10% body fat or less. I am only 10 pounds over my "ideal" weight, so this is not so much for weight loss as it is just getting rid of toxins and crap that may be running through our bodies and screwing up our muscles causing us this pain.
I know a lot of you are on raw diets, clean diets, etc. I need some good books or websites to research. My husband is a HUGE meat and potatoes kind of guy. He loves his peanut butter, Cheez-its, and Doritos too (not together, lol). So I'm going to need something that is clearly convincing to him. Like I said, he is very fit, so telling him that he'll "look better" etc won't work. I need something that will make this diet change enticing to him. I'm not sure that I want to go raw, vegan, or even vegetarian. I just want some resources.
I should add that he'd rather just take some pain killers every night than do the painstaking act of changing his diet. That's why I need something enticing for him.
Thanks SO much for all of your help! )

To take a first step that is not to drastic, try finding a local growers market that has grass fed meats and local grown vegi's and fruits. Just a change like that helped us drastically. Then we started experimenting with replacing half the meat in dishes with things like beans.
Good Luck.0 -
Have you gone to see a doctor about this? If you haven't that's really where you should start...0

Thank you. I actually started going to the farmers market a couple months ago and LOVE it. I do get all of our veggies there and some fruit. I don't have the foggiest notion where to start with finding grass fed meats....for a reasonable price. Hubs has got to learn to like some beans, lol.0 -
Have you tried getting the bad foods out of the pantry and house keep furit in a bowel at home, keep good stuff at home not the chips etc. When that stuff is around I gain weight and my kids don't need it either. I just gave a party and bought bad foods now my house and cupboards are full of the junk again. I just need to get rid of it and have good foods around only then it all is eaier to be healthy...Out of sight and out of mind. There is also organic fruits and veggies in a capsule form no supplements and you get 6-9 servings just with a capsule everyday. It is called Juice Plus...Go to the website. I noticed my kids and I taking the juice plus fruits and veggies gives us the antioxidents to fights infection and it is not meant to replace eating healthy but sure helps as a back up plan0
