Hey, I am working on a life change. I started on September 10th and I am already down 15lbs. Just thought I would try out the forums on here, as I have only been using the app on my phone. Any advice for someone trying to get healthier and change their lives?

Thanks,

Chantelle :)

    Hi Chanty, welcome to mfp!

First of all, I would suggest find out your macro (how many calories intake). The preset calculation on mfp may not be suitable for you. Also, find out what food that you love and its healthy so you can still enjoy food while cutting down the calories!

Start exercising if you dont have any medical condition. Outdoor jogging, working out in the gym or you can do it in your room/house, search for '30 days shred jillian michaels', or you can find all kind of exercise tutorial in youtube!

    All the best :)

Eat your recommended daily calorie intake in 5-7 meals a day eating every 2 - 3 hours (stabilizes your blood sugars over the course of the day and speeds up metabolism), eat clean ( no refined sugar, enriched wheat flour, etc), macros are usually (40% protein, 40% carbs, 20% healthy fats). Basic supplements include a multivitamin, protein powder, BCAA (Branch Chain Amino Acids). If your looking to add mass: (lower weights rep range (8-10) but heavier weights), if your looking to get lean ( use lower weights but a higher rep range (10 - 15) and about an hour of cardio 3-4 days a week).
