Pick a better goal. That is neither realistic nor healthy, and especially so for someone with only 17 lbs to lose. At your weight, 1/2 lb per week is a healthy, reasonable goal.
Plenty of people have lost weight only watching their food, but your best results (in the mirror and health wise) are going to include workouts. You have to make time.0 -
10 pounds...two weeks...no exercise....sure but only if you cut off one limb. This is a nonsense post! You didn't put 10 pounds on in two weeks, so it won't come off in two weeks. A sensible diet, exercise and calorie deficit will help you on your weight loss journey.0

No one "needs" to lose ten pounds in two weeks.0

No. Unless you plan to eat that way for the rest of your life, whatever weight you lose will come right back and then some. Get a reasonable plan that you can live with and stop issuing ultimatums to yourself.0 -

This sounds like the goal of a professional boxer or wrestler trying to make his/her weight class. Your health is more important than your two week objective0 -
good advice, rallengr! :flowerforyou:0

Wake up early, go to the gym at 6am before doing all your things.. All I read is wa wa wa I need to lose weight but it has to be fast, and it has to be easy as I have no time whatsoever...
Make time. Wake up at 5am and go for a run at 6, if you are like me, you can be back to your place and get ready for work at the same hour as if you had been sleeping in.
You won't lose 10 pounds in 2 weeks, but you're not going to lose 10 pounds in 3 months either if you are only going for the easy road... Make a change and keep it :drinker: it worth it0 -

You can lose weight with no exercise following MFP's calorie deficit, but it will NOT happen in 2 weeks and it WON'T be at a rate of 5 lbs a week. If you eat at a calorie deficit and strictly adhere to your diet plan, you can lose weight without ever exercising (at a rate of about 1 lb a week or so).
However, without exercise, you may not like the way your body looks when you reach your goal weight. Exercise strengthens your muscles and those muscles make a leaner body look more attractive.
Start today, find a short workout you can do first thing in the morning. Go for a 15-20 minute run or do a short dvd workout (Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred is a great one, only 25 minutes). I don't know anyone that can't find 30 extra minutes in their day when they really prioritize. Spend less time texting and being on Facebook, multitask like a mad woman and make the extra time in your day.
Also, start counting your calories and eating at a deficit. You may not be 10 lbs lighter in 2 weeks, but you will feel better about yourself and project a lot more confidence in the way you carry yourself. Best wishes on the road to a happier healthier new you!0 -

No Salt AT ALL...only drink water & eat fruits & vegetables for breakfast, snacks, and dinner its kinda like a detox too, to get all the bad toxins out of your body by only eating natural foods instead of processed....0

What happens if you don't lose ten pounds in two weeks? Will you be fired from your job? Will your firstborn child be sacrificed?0

I find it very ironical that your profile tagline is 'healthy living'.0

No.
OP, you've been given good advice already. A better, more reasonable goal. Like another said, you didn't gain it in 2 weeks, it won't come off in 2 weeks. Any "extreme" diet plan you're thinking of, aka crash dieting, will teach you nothing, and you'll gain any weight you lost right back. It's better to go slowly and healthily. Get your head out of the fads and into a deficit.0 -
Are you even going to tell us why you need to lose it in 2 weeks? You'd lose that in 2 weeks if you started your new lifestyle today and weighed 400lbs but not as you are! It's ridiculous. Lose 2 in 2 weeks and that's great progress!0

It is possible. Is it healthy and sustainable though? NO! You will put every pound back on when you go back to the diet that caused the weight gain.
If you're studying then this should be your concern right now, you can lose the weight later on when this important time in your life is over.0 -

You might be able to lose that if you go super low carb but tbh it wouldn't be fat you were losing so not really worth the hassle. Have patience and do this the right way0

jackie warner has a 10 lbs in 10 days diet but it includes required exercise you can do at home. I've done it before and lost 10 lbs but I was hungry. loosely follow her diet plan, but added more calories to it to keep it around 1200.0

I think some people are being rude in their responses here. It's not a stupid question, people just have different priorities and opinions.
It's true that it won't be a sustainable weight loss (i.e. you'll gain most of the weight back afterwards) but I totally understand wanting to lose weight by a certain day. Unfortunately I think it would be very difficult and unhealthy to lose 10 lbs in 2 weeks. But you can lose some of that weight if you eat mostly fruits and veggies, drink plenty of water, and try to limit your salt since this can contribute to bloating/water weight.0 -

This is complete bollocks, 10lbs in 10 days!!! Seriously! How do people get away with perpetuating these lies? SMH!
There is no shortcut or quickfix!!!
I REPEAT, THERE IS NO SHORTCUT OR QUICK FIX0 -

Intermittent fasting. You're the only one who can say whether or not it's sustainable for you, and I don't know how much you would lose, but it's working for me.
And not eating a couple days a week is not going to kill you. Humans would have finished before they ever got started. That being said, use your head. You can't eat candy and donuts for 5 days and fast for 2 and expect outstanding results.
You get out what you put in. So put it in!0 -

Those people aren't cruel. The idea of losing 10 pounds in 2 weeks isn't thought through.
1) I'm curious to know why OP 'NEEDS' to lose 10 pounds in 2 weeks. Is it a life or death situation? Why does OP think losing 10 pounds in 2 weeks is a good idea? This idea is a crash diet and therefore not sustainable and she will gain it back 100% because she never changed her lifestyle.
2) Some people here are giving her - in my opinion - bad advice by telling her to do a crash diet. Hence my eyeroll.
3) A lot of people have been on MFP for years. I've been on MFP for a little over a year and at first was a bit suprised about the negative responses on the messageboards. I was looking to lose weight - QUICK. So I know where OP comes from. I did a crash diet; I ate about 800 calories a day and burned about 400-800 with working out. You know what happend? I found out why those 'mean' people were so annoyed. I did lose weight quick. Lost all musclemass too. People told me I looked ill. And I gained it back a while later, because that diet wasn't sustainable and I never learned how to change my lifestyle.
After numerous posts a day about wanting to lose weight QUICK, people will be annoyed because they've been telling the same thing over and over again. I found out they're usually right and that I should have listend .

I agree that 10 lbs in 2 weeks is not a realistic goal, but also very unhealthy. I too wish I could lose weight that quick, but it's not a good idea. I strive for 2 lbs a week, but at the most 3. I know this is stating the obvious, but the best ways to lose weight is how you eat. Find a work regimen that you can stick to each day and eat your calorie goal. Eat 5-6 small meals a day throughout the day, eat fresh veggies, fruits, leans proteins and you will see the weight fall off. It takes time, Rome wasn't built in a day, so give it time and stay positive. I didnt see real results for about 7 weeks of starting a healthy diet and daily exercise. Feel free to add me as a friend for support0
