Hey,
Basically ive come off the straight and narrow... ive lost complete interest in MFP, i used to log every single day.. probably for about 80days, and now... i just have no enthusiasm what so ever.
I need to set myself short term goals, and short term exercise plans but i have no idea what to do..
If anyone else is feeling like me, or has any advice id be much appreciative.
Thank you

Hi there.
Last time you posted you were going to try the 5:2 approach. How did that work for you?0 -
I am right there with you, but decided it stops today. My goal for today is to track all my food regardless of what the numbers show. Pick one goal for today and stick to it whether it is logging your food, taking one extra flight of stairs, drinking an extra glass of water.........anything. Trying to be perfect can be too overwhelming after taking a break. Prove to yourself that you can follow your plan today and tomorrow you can draw on today as motivation to do it again. It's time to start rebuilding good habits. Summer is over.........it's time to get back to work. Best of luck to you!0

Life: Ups and downs
Your not going to be motivated every single day or even weeks at a time but you need to make logging and exercising a HABIT. It will stop seeming like work and just part of your every day life once you do that. So just make yourself do it and it will get better.
I don't have any set goals other than being under my calories for the day and losing weight. If you continuously set goals that bring you in several different directions then "habit" wont happen. Its one thing to switch it up after months of something that doesn't work for you, its another thing to do it every week
Make it simple so you don't get overwhelmed, give up and demotivated. Have fun and dont be too hard on yourself. If you eat a burger on a Friday night, okay. Its life and that will happen every once in a while. Giving up and going on a binge because you already screwed up your day is like dropping your cell phone on the floor and saying "I already dropped it, let my stomp on it too".0 -
thank you for all your answers.
I havnt actually started the 5.2 diet yet.. i am still looking to do that, however my eating has been so poorest lately im abit worried i wont be able to get threw 1 week of it.
I will write a post of it once ive had a go tho.
Small goals is such a good idea im going to make a list of small ones that i know i can stick too and try to increase them as i go on.
Thank you again xX0
