Hi everyone ,

I have acne & I am wondering if my working out could be causing it? I work out doing cardio for 45 minutes & then light weights/cardio type exercises

sweating the entire time but blotting it off with clean towels/paper towels when I can

always showering/washing my face right after .

this is pretty frustrating!

I also noticed that when I started to exercise that my face was breaking out. I had perfect skin as a teen and now that I am in my late twenties I am at that great age where my hair is going gray but I get to keep my youthful acne. I just made sure to use a good facial scrub nightly.

You could try taking evening primrose oil, that helps to clear my skin up.

ExfoliKate by Kate Somerville and her RetinAsphere, also a clarisonic. This combo has been life changing for me. I've had maybe two pimples this year, and I was even pregnant for half of it.

Make sure you exfoliate - I LOVE mixing sugar and coconut oil together and scrubbing down with that in the shower. Then after, use coconut oil as a moisturizer. It's anti inflammatory and anti bacterial so it gets rid of break outs and leaves you scare and blemish free

Yup, I've noticed over the past month and a half or so my facial skin looks a wreck compared to normal. It's mostly those annoying little clusters of tiny bumps on my forehead that stay *just* under the surface and never quite come to a head, but also a lot of whiteheads on my nose and chin which I normally only get literally a few times a year. I used to work at Lush, so my skin was always perfection. Although I continue to use my Lush products, I guess my skin just isn't used to so much sweat and excess oil (I sweat like a menopausal pig in a sauna wearing a wool sweater). I'm willing to bet it will level itself out after a while, or with a tweak in skincare regimine, which is about due anyway with the change of weather...

I had tiny bumps develop all over my face and no matter what I did, they would not ago. I eventually figured out that I have an intolerance to Wheat/Gluten and when I stopped eating those foods, the bumps went away.

I ate the foods fine for years and never had any issues then all of sudden one day, I started having reactions.

I'm in for the tips. I've always had acne, but it has tripled in severity since I started training. It's a real piss-off!

if you wear any hair product it could quiet possibly be sweating down into your face- if I do my hair and then go workout- it causes all sorts of issues.

If you don't- try removing any major face products (foundation/primer whatever).. wear a sweat head band- don't touch your face when you blott either- I just use my sleeve/shirt... otherwise SOL. I don't like touching my face when i work out. Everyone touches DB/BB- and if I have to lift them- I'm touching what they touched and I'm not about to put that on my face- so be conscious of that too.
