Health Issues- no period!

Hi All,
Okay, a few personal issues and problems I have had recently. I am not pregnant, not having sex, and I have maintained roughly the same weight (within ten pounds) in a year. I have not had my period in 9 months and my period was not regular before I lost weight, three years ago.
I got my hormones tested in late July, and all the tests came back normal, and no thyroid issues, etc.
Any thoughts?

do you have digestive issues? that always leads to this kind of problem. also which hormones did they test for, and was it a full month test? are you stressed out or not sleeping? this can put your cortisol too high which is disrupt the balance of the many (not just sex hormones) hormones ect involved in a healthy cycle. additionally what's your intake of EFAs like? you may need to increase the proportion of healthy fats in your daily diet.0

Insulin resistance can mess up your cycle as well. You should probably make an appointment with a gynecologist.0

I do have digestive issues, and I eat a good amount of healthy fats, including dairy and nuts, peanut butter, avocado, etc. I have been very stressed, but I guess I would have thought my period would have jump started by now. Does that make sense?0

This is a question for your gyno.0

Yes, Go to a doctor. Hormone testing is not all taht needs to be done/ How old are you? Any other symptoms?0

I've had this happen for a while. Went a year with no period for no reason at all. Doctor said it wasn't a concern and it can just 'happen' for a number of reasons. I was never worried enough to really test it out, and enjoyed that year of freedom!0

Not always. I've had digestive problems my whole life and never had problems with my cycle.0 -

didnt you ask that question when you got the results in July? if you want kids in the future (sorry not looked how old you are) i would speak to your doctor ASAP....0 -
This happened to me before and I went to my gynecologist and they gave me some medication to take so I would start ovulating again. I wouldn't worry about it but I would definately make an appointment with the gynecologist.0
