1) nine months into the year, how are you doing on your goals for the year?
Epic fail on my fitness goals, wanted to bulk up to 270 but i had a rash of weird injuries(like getting hit by a car and busting my ankle playing Bball)that derailed me
2) have you set new goals for 2014? Yes
3) are you ready for the influx of "resolutioners" in 84 days?Meh, average one lasts 17 days
4) do you have one major fitness accomplishment achieved this year you can "hang your hat on"?
I certainly improved my hip flexibility greatly0 -

there is a special shoe with ankle support for basketball players. you should check them out. i believe the brand is called Ektio.0 -
1) If I don't keep my hand out of the cookie jar I'm heading to finish the year the weight I started it.
2) 2014 - I've got a place ear marked for the Great North Run & Tough Mudder.
3) I don't bother them & they don't bother me.
4) Yes! I found I can (albeit slowly) actually run, & I can now do pool side pull ups.0 -

good call brother
I have done a ton of mobilization to fixsome movement issues with my ankle since then... but there is no doubt the good shoes help0 -
1) well at 3 months I lost enough weight to catch a parasite from the man, and I'm still incubating it 6 months later
2) yes my goal is to push out the parasite sometime at the first of the month. Ideally the end of 2013 because I heard obama will give you a tax write off and a free phone for parasites
3) yes fresh meat
4) who know weight loss would get you knocked up0 -
1) I forgot to set them.
2) Maybe once I set 2013's.
3) Crap, I only have 84 days to set resolutions?
4) I didn't gain any weight... but then I've been the same for 10-years. (Still counts dang it!)0 -
Hip flexibility hahaha

1. Not bad, but could be better. The scale isn't moving much but I am definitely stronger, which is a big boost.
2. Yes: I want to lose 15lbs and master crow pose in yoga. Getting close!
3. I've decided to ditch my membership in 2014 and instead rely on my visits with my trainer and the little home gym I've set up in my basement. New Year Resolutioners drive me bat **** insane.
4. I can finally do push ups on my toes! I used to have to do wussy knee push ups all the time but now I can do them properly, as well as bosu push ups and atomic push ups.0 -

i was just reading an interview with Rick Barry last night about these shoes. he says these shoes would prevent so many ankle injuries in the NBA, but guys will only wear the shoes of the companies that pay them. look them up. apparently they have unparalleled ankle support and if Nike or Converse or some other big shoe company would buy them, overnight they'd become the de facto standard for basketball shoes.0 -
I never set yearly goals. :indifferent: <---serious face0
-

I actually worked hard on my hip flexibility...my longer term goal is a full split0 -

Im looking at them right now

1) My goal was to get to 10% bf and have a six pack. I'm at about 12% bf and have a 4 pack, in the right light. I'd like to go lower but I've been cutting since April and I'm sick of it. The cool weather is almost here and that means bulk. That and my body is telling me it's had enough with the caloric deficit.
2) Yes, add 10 lbs of muscle and get that coveted six pack
3) Couldn't care less
4) Well I am wearing a size 30 jean, although it's probably more like 32 due to vanity sizing. And I'm pretty sure I have more muscle mass than at any time in my life, no to mention healthier than I've been in twenty years, so yes.0 -

1) Yes, I am still breathing on my own and looking up from the right side of the grass. On maintenance and without major fluctuations.
2) Yes, I have the same goals as this year (see #1).
3) No, what for? they don't last that long.
5) No really, just cruising along. See # 1.0 -
1) I'm pretty happy. Weight goal achieved/surpassed, making good progress on strength (though my goals are probably a little overambitious), achieved actual muscle definition (including abs!), 5k run time is down several minutes (may not break my 25 min goal but still happy).
2) New goals: finish my first bulk; survive my first cut; get super-strong and hyooge. 1.5 x bw lifts.
3) *head desk*-ing already
4) I became able to do chin-/pull-ups. That makes me feel like a BAMF.0 -
1) nine months into the year, how are you doing on your goals for the year?
Still doing this so this one is a yes.
2) have you set new goals for 2014?
Not new....I just want to still maintain or bulk and cut.....unsure yet
3) are you ready for the influx of "resolutioners" in 84 days?
Argggggggggg
4) do you have one major fitness accomplishment achieved this year you can "hang your hat on"?
Hummmm, none what so ever.lol0 -

It's a slow slow process. It's something I'm working on with the dance classes I teach. So much whining last night when I was working with them.0 -

It's almost always helpful to fatigue the hip flexor muscles as part of your stretching regimen. You will be shocked how much that helps you gain flexibility quicker.0 -
1) nine months into the year, how are you doing on your goals for the year?
I'm doing pretty well, didn't really set any hard goals for myself other than eat better and get back to working out.
2) have you set new goals for 2014?
I want to be in a healthy BF% by mid-year or before then.
3) are you ready for the influx of "resolutioners" in 84 days?
Doesn't bother me...
4) do you have one major fitness accomplishment achieved this year you can "hang your hat on"?
Being able to jog at 5 mph for 10 minutes straight! I've NEVER liked running so never even bothered trying for that lol0 -

3) are you ready for the influx of "resolutioners" in 84 days?

4) do you have one major fitness accomplishment achieved this year you can "hang your hat on"?

2) Yes - basically starting over after a 4+ month hiatus.
3) As long as they stay away from the squat racks at my gym I don't mind them.
4) Squatted my body weight for the first time ever.0 -
1) nine months into the year, how are you doing on your goals for the year? Great. I am right where I want to be & actually have dome more than expected. Loving right where I am both physically & mentally.
2) have you set new goals for 2014? Yeah, work more. Not workout more....actual work more. After being unemployable for the last 4 years (and still am really) I got a job that I actually love in a field I've never worked in before & I love it that much I'm looking for a 2nd job to fill the extra time.
Also want to continue doing 4:3
3) are you ready for the influx of "resolutioners" in 84 days? Yeah, and I know they wont stick to it. Never made one in my life & I've managed to do fine without it. You should not need to make a resolution one day & year.... it should be every day.
4) do you have one major fitness accomplishment achieved this year you can "hang your hat on"? Walking a marathon a day. Having my back pain reduced (although not the injury) through my being fitter & fasting. To me that's everything0 -

1) not sure I had a plan.
2) not sure I'll make a plan.
3) please tell me they can't get any derpier than the special snowflake butthurt infusion of January 2013
4) I can still run 3 miles when I try with no ill effects.0 -

I wanted to lose at least 80 pounds to finally get under 200. I have 10 pounds to go.
2014 I will still be striving to reach my goal weight, and getting healthier.
I've been one before. So, maybe one person will actually stick with it and become healthier this year. I ignore things that don't have a direct affect on my life. :smokin:
I have a lot of fitness goals this year. I can walk 4 consecutive miles now, I couldn't do that a year ago. Barely got a mile in. I've been lifting and working my quads which has taken pressure off my deteriorating knee so I can move at all. Just a couple things I can "hang my hat on"....
Thanks for asking0 -
