Calories in salmon

Hey! Can someone please tell me how many caloriess are in 4 oz. of raw skinless and boneless salmon fillet?

I have never found a concrete number/count for it! i'm so tired of looking for responses everywhere and not getting similar ones.

Thanks so much in advance.

Depends on the fish, same as vegetables... Really no way to tell (besides doubly labeled water)

It varies depending on the salmon...but 4 oz is usually somewhere around 200 calories...But more important...a heck load of PTROIEN!!!!! (I KNOW ITS SPELLED PROTEIN)

Have you tried searching for "Fish salmon" in the MFP database? There are quite a few legit entries (look for the ones that do NOT have an asterisk next to them) and varieties - Atlantic, wild, farmed, coho, king, Pacific, canned, raw, grilled, etc.

Find the one that best matches what you had and log it. They give you the option of ounces or grams as well. Easy peasy.

You may find this link rather helpful.
  • Thanks everybody i guess it's around 200... as 3 oz. are like 156.

    Here is pretty exhaustive list.

I don't have time to search for it, but there was a study that showed people who eat the exact same amount of salmon calories as those that ate beef, actually lost a little more weight in a controlled environment. All calories are not the same. :)
