My Rings are Loose again....

Was not sure where to post this, so I apologize if this is not the correct thread. Let me preface this by saying I lost weight years ago and had my engagement ring sized down b/c it kept sliding off my finger. Fast forward a few years. I gained the weight back and then some. I had to have the engagement ring cut off my finger by a jeweler b/c it was cutting off circulation in my finger. I got a new engagement ring (upgraded) and had my wedding ring sized up. I have now lost 30 lbs, trying to lose 30 more. My rings are loose again, to the point I have almost knocked them off and down the sink several times. I am afraid to get them sized down for fear of cursing myself after what happened last time. So, I am looking for a cheap but fashionable way to keep my rings from slipping off my fingers, any suggestions??:smile:

Yup! Ur jeweler should have some sort of clip u can use underneath the ring. They shouldn't even charge for it!

Yup, ask your jeweler for a ring guard. They can cause some damage to the ring (tiny grooves) but in my experience it's fairly minor. Plus if you're going to get them resized when you hit goal, they'll be altering that area anyway so it should get smoothed back out.

I had the same problem.. lost weight (sized ring down) ..gained weight (sized ring up) and now this second time around I have re-sized my ring 3 times and its big again. I found the ring guards are an annoyance for me personally and couldn't do it. I have tried tape, the guards, even a piece of paper and I'm always going back to sizing the ring. My advise is if it gets too big and you don't want to size it yet, wear it around your neck. Not ideal but it works. My jeweler told me that the sizing up and down doesn't harm the metals, so I do what I need to :)

I didn't want to resize mine either, but it wouldn't fit on my finger after I got pregnant. I ended up putting it on a chain and wore my necklace. Just an alternative idea.

I've had to get mine sized 3x already. Of course the ring I picked out is to wide for a guard.. almost getting time again.
