Not sure what that save well was, but wondering if there are any success stories with working out to give the breast a lift without surgery or if at all possible and if there have been any sucess stories. The posts in the threads didn't have many success stories without medical work done. just curious.

Nope, gonna need surgery here. Probably next year after I get to my goal weight.

I don't think you'll have comparable results to having surgery, but exercises that focus on the chest, arms, shoulders, back, etc. definitely will make that whole area perk up and feel better. Try chest presses, push ups, flys, etc. Good luck!
  • I think that is my only option unless someone can direct me in the right direction. I've been faithfully doing push ups and the only thing happening is my sore arms are getting harder, can't complain about that though!

Thanks. I am going to try another 3 months of adding in the exercises you stated and hopefully something gives! thanks!!

bench press and deep tissue massage.
  • I can't speak for myself, but my mother had the same issue. Given time they did repair themselves a bit and fill back out, but she never returned to the shape and size before having children and weight loss. The only sure-fire way is probably implant surgery if you want to achieve permanent and satisfying results. I hope this helps and offers some encouragement. Good Luck!

    push up bras

you'll only get so far with lifting the pec muscles which will help make your chest look less saggy... but breasts are fat.

and lifting doesn't work fat- it works muscles.

so it's limited. getting your body in a shape you like is step one (see what that does for you) some women lose a great deal of breast tissue after birth- even though they were fairly large to start with.

step two invest in good bras

    step three is consider surgery.

I've had and breast fed 3 children. Heavy lifting has done good things for my boobs (but they were never big). I have pec-cleavage now which is more than I've ever had.

did the heavy lifting make you bulky? I already have broad shoulders so I don't want to be tooooooo big from lifting you know

oiy... bare with me- I'm just going to copy this and past it about someone asking what to lift- and how much

but short answer- no you won't get bulky.

    now the long answer

    1) goal weight- what you appear to look like- msucle definition- are all a function of diet- a LARGE function of diet.

2.) toning is a made up word by the fitness industry to get women interested in lifting- it's a stupid way to say lift weights.

3.) what to lift- do big compound lifts- squats- dead lifts- bench- overh head press. push ups and pull ups are obviously great too.

4a.) bulking... you only bulk up when you eat at a calorie suprlus and spend a lot of time in the gym.
4b.) women who are true body builders spend YEARS working on their bodies- and the truly big ones are often on some sort of extra somethingsomething

5.) how much weight you should lift.
This starts with pick a plan for the day. i.e I'm going to do squats and OHP today or I'm Dead lifting today- or whatever this is followed by I'm going to do 5 x 5 or 5/3/1 or a pyramid- whatever reps you want- just not I'm doing 20 curls- or 100 body weight squats.

so I go to the rack for dumbells( DB) or the barbell (BB). pick a weight. Can you lift it off the rack?

If not- remove your hand and chose a lighter weight.

    If yes- GOOD.
Do you think you can do 10 whole complete reps with ease with that weight? if yes? put it back.
    If no next question
Do you think you can do 5 whole complete reps with ease with that weight? if yes- probably a good weight If no- the answer is probably- i can't do any reps with it- or just one.

if the answer is 'no' then put the weight down- and go down a weight.

once you have selected your first weight- do the lifts- do the reps.

you may find you will have to change weight for different sets- this is okay.

repeat this process for that day.

do it again the next time you go.

Short story- you won't bulk- I promise.
eat at a deficit- lift heavy. (programs to look at New rules of lifting for women strong lifts/starting strength- strong curves... the program doesn't matter- it doesn't matter if it's for women or men- you train them both the same- there is no no such thing as 'gender specific' exercises- or programs- they maybe targeted to one audience or the other- but the lifts themselves- totally the same.

now go forth and be fabulous.

Do I look "bulky"? I've been lifting heavy for 2 years and also have naturally broad shoulders.

PP, I think you look great! OP, I have breastfed 4 children and while I am going to have the surgery, I agree with what everyone has said about chest exercises firming up the muscle underneath

If all it took was lifting heavy a few hours per week, every guy on the planet would be yolked...

Women simply do not have the genes or necessary testosterone to "bulk' like you are thinking...there are statistical outliers, but that's what they are...outliers...and even then, they generally need a lot of supplementation and drugs. It's really hard for a guy with decent genetics to bulk....it's realy, really, really, really, really, really hard for a female to "bulk"

Totally push up bras. I just went out and bought a couple of defcon 4 level push up wonders. I have killer pecs but the boobs are deflated pancakes.

If you don't find it uncomfortable as you lose weight, wear a sleep bra. I don't have studies or anything, but I think it helps the skin shrink taut more nicely as you go (I always lose weight slowly, so that might matter, too). Mine are heavy, so I figure keeping them held in place helps keep the skin from stretching as much, especially as the skin is shrinking from weight loss.

I think they are as comfy as any other PJs, personally.

I don't know about smaller cup sizes but in my own experience, (34dd), weight lifting doesn't lift your breasts - wish it did, but it doesn't lol - I'm making great progress on my pectoral muscles and I can actually flex them visibly now and I love building muscle for many other reasons.... But it's not like having a surgical breast lift no matter how hard you work. Toned arms and nice collar bones look great with a nice push-up bra though lol so don't dismiss the weight training or the ole push-ups just because they won't lift your boobs :)
