Savory/Salty?

Anyone know of any foods to replace a salty/savory snack?

I tend to want cheese or crackers for snack.

Salted popcorn? Or make your own and put pepper or something on it

    Skinny popcorn
    Roasted peanut puffs
    Gluten free cheese oatcakes
  • I have been doing air popcorn lately with a butter replacement. Can't really taste it, though. I do like pepper on popcorn!

English muffin pizzas? English muffin cut in half, with pizza sauce and part skim mozzarella cheese, bake for 10 minutes... It's 200 calories or less (well, depending how much sauce and cheese you put on it).

What's wrong with cheese and crackers? I eat them on occasion, and they are delicious.

I eat a lot of popcorn though. Like 6-8 cups a day kind of a lot. I oil pop it, and add garlic salt, cayenne pepper, and italian seasoning. Sometimes, I throw some parmesan on there just for good measure.

I also eat some of the different Jack Link's jerkys.

Pretzel rods with roasted red chili pepper hummus is another favorite snack food of mine.

    Any of these help?
  • I've never tried hummus before... Any good "starter" flavors?

Hummus is made from chick peas and in its basic state is sort of tangy, red pepper hummus is good too. However if you don't like chickpeas you probably won't like hummus

I like the red pepper flavor by the Fresh Hummus co. I dip carrots in it so it has both the veggie and the fats of the hummus to fill me up.
