When do you notice??

When you forget about it, and you're not looking for the changes, you'll start to notice them. If you're looking every day for signs of change, you won't notice them, because the day-to-day changes are all but imperceptible. Don't worry about that, just do the things you know you need to do, and stay the course. Then, when you do start to notice the changes, it'll be a wonderful surprise.0

i think the first time I noticed I had lost weight was when I got on my scale and I weighed less than the last time I weighed myself
oh shut your face lol0 -
I took pictures.. but I'm to scared to post them to ask if anyone can tell haha
Post them! Photos show it best.0 -
I lost weight in my face and neck in the beginning. I even noticed that the backs of my hands were no longer 'rounded'. I would say about 10 lbs is when I really noticed.
Thats exactly when I noticed...seen it from my face and neck first. But I tell people I noticed it in my hands and they laugh at me, but Thats one of the first places I noticed lol0 -
I've lost 17 lbs. and just started to notice the results in the mirror. The weird thing is that I still fit into the same pants size (my 12s are just looser). I'm wondering how many more pounds I'll have to lose to fit into my 10s.0

It's hard to notice it on yourself in the mirror till the change is fairly large. Which makes a bit of sense because that was probably true on the way up as well. I personally don't recall saying oooh I've gained weight till I'd gained like 20lbs... so it made sense that I didn't really notice the loss till around 20 as well....0

I think I was at least a month into my weight loss before I noticed changes in the mirror. It was 2 months in before my husband saw the changes. I say take pictures and compare them each month. The camera doesn't lie.0

I've lost nearly 100 pounds, my bra band has dropped 6 inches (44 - loose 38), and my pants have dropped 5 sizes (28 - 18) and I STILL struggle to see changes in my body. I notice changes in my physical abilities. I am able to do things I could not before. Simple things like crossing my legs to bigger things like spending 30 minutes on the elliptical.0

I haven't really yet. Which is sad considering I've already lost 60+ lbs. It's hard to shake the negative body image. I'm just hoping that when I hit my goal in 24ish pounds I'll be happy and be able to see what others are telling me. The funny thing, when I was heavier, I was in denial and saw a smaller than I really was reflection in the mirror. Now that I am smaller, it's the reverse. Craziness!0

I was disappointed not to "feel" different at 10 pounds down, but by 12 it was like pieces fell off  and some clothes were looser. I tried on an older pair of jeans and didn't have to pick between zipping and breathing.
I didn't take measurements at first and should have. I seem to have trouble getting the tape measure in the same place with the same amount of "suckage" so those numbers vary as much as the scale. But I'm happy as long as both trends continue in the right direction.0 -
when i weight 266lbs, i lost 28lbs and then i noticed and everyone else did that i had lost weight, it does take a while if you are bigger to start with x0

I felt better immediately. Seriously. My body is good at saying, "Thank you for treating me right."
I noticed the scale & the inches lost on my tape measure first. Then the change in how my clothes fit. But it took a long time to actually see big changes in the mirror. I was extremely heavy & it took a while to see the changes starting. It took other people a long time to notice, too. Now I notice the difference every day & get comments from others regularly.
It is very important to take measurements. I measure EVERYTHING once a month. Inches lost are proof of fat lost. The scale really doesn't mean much at all. It measures total weight but not fat loss. It can be a useful tool but I don't use it to judge my progress.0 -
I probably noticed on myself around 10-15lbs..I mean really noticed. My husband and my mom, of course would say something but I think it was more just to be nice because they knew I was trying to loose weight at the beginning. But when I hit about 25lbs people at work started to say something. Now that I've hit 50lbs lost people at work are starting to really be floored...and now I am beyond excited to put on clothes (well, those that I can find that fit me anyways...I have some older ones that I kept around for this event just in case!). I can't wait until I hit my goal weight in another 50lbs to see how people react and how I will react to what I see in the mirror!
WTG OP!! You're on your way to a healthier you!!:flowerforyou:0 -
My clothes that used to fit a bit snug started to feel really loose. That was when I noticed. People were telling me before I noticed that I looked like I was losing weight but I didn't believe it. However, the more I lose the more changes I see when I look in the mirror.0

I can't tell with my weight too much yet, the first few pounds is usually only water weight. I think once I hit 15 pounds lost I'll notice. But you have to make that relative to your weight/height0

Fitting into old pants is the main way I notice any difference. Honestly, I'm just beginning to notice at a 30 lb loss, I probably won't really notice until I've lost more...sadly.0

i have lost 26 pounds and even now..some people notice and some dont notice the difference.0

I've lost 18lbs and I can't see any difference yet! My gran and a friend have both said my face looks a bit slimmer - by which I think they mean my double chin hahaha - but apart from that, no noticeable difference yet which can be a bit disappointing. But I k ow it will come eventually!
Keep up the good work!0 -
I noticed after 3-4 weeks, I noticed my face and stomach thinning! I also feel so much better and look healthier! And sleep better, more energy and feel pretty haha0
-
I noticed when a pair of jeans fell to the floor. Thankfully, I was in my own house and I wasn't going commando.0

I noticed after a month and a bit, roughly where I am now really. A few people have also commented on me looking slimmer and more glowing so I can only keep going! BUT I do have 25lbs to lose so at tenish its almost halfway really, the more you have to lose the more weight you'll lose until you notice0

I have issues. I never noticed. I never even noticed that I got fat. People just felt the need to tell me I was. I have always seen myself the exact same way.0
-
I know I have because I'm buying smaller clothes and the scale is going down and my measurements are decreasing also. But I still don't FEEL smaller.0

You notice when your pants get loose and you go down a size (happens to me every 10-15 pounds). I tended to wear skirts, which kind of helped me become overweight without realizing it because they stretch. I've found that it is good to have at least a couple pairs of non stretchy pants that fit perfect all the time, and then I really notice when they start to get loose.0
