I've now lost 2 stone. I've noticed my clothes are starting to look big on me! I still have another 1.5 stone to lose. So my question to all of you is - should I buy new clothes now or wait until I hit my target weight??

Replies

  • First of all good work on the weight loss.

Ive just started looking at smaller clothes and found that it was only a few weeks before they looked big on me again. If you are that close to target I personally would wait and get a whole new wardrobe at your new ideal weight.

    Keep it up.

If you can wait, then I would, but if they start falling off and looking ridiculous, then maybe just invest in a few inexpensive pairs of pants/trousers just to tide you over. Maybe even go to a thrift/charity shop and check there if you want something super cheap!

I waited for as long as i could, i had no issue wearing baggy clothes, until it was just way to far haha.

Consider buying a few new items that will tide you over; I found that getting a few new items can help motivate me to get to the next goal. Congrats on the progress!

Go to goodwill and get a pair of $4 pants in your current size.

Then when you hit your weight just shop for all your new stuff

    Way to go!!!

I buy only what's absolutely necessary (mainly work clothes) because I can't afford to replace clothes every 2 months. In my personal life, my current look is "baggy and comfortable." At work I look more put together, but I'm rotating just a few outfits.
