I felt better immediately. Seriously. My body is good at saying, "Thank you for treating me right."
I noticed the scale & the inches lost on my tape measure first. Then the change in how my clothes fit. But it took a long time to actually see big changes in the mirror. I was extremely heavy & it took a while to see the changes starting. It took other people a long time to notice, too. Now I notice the difference every day & get comments from others regularly.
It is very important to take measurements. I measure EVERYTHING once a month. Inches lost are proof of fat lost. The scale really doesn't mean much at all. It measures total weight but not fat loss. It can be a useful tool but I don't use it to judge my progress.0 -
I probably noticed on myself around 10-15lbs..I mean really noticed. My husband and my mom, of course would say something but I think it was more just to be nice because they knew I was trying to loose weight at the beginning. But when I hit about 25lbs people at work started to say something. Now that I've hit 50lbs lost people at work are starting to really be floored...and now I am beyond excited to put on clothes (well, those that I can find that fit me anyways...I have some older ones that I kept around for this event just in case!). I can't wait until I hit my goal weight in another 50lbs to see how people react and how I will react to what I see in the mirror!
WTG OP!! You're on your way to a healthier you!!:flowerforyou:0 -
My clothes that used to fit a bit snug started to feel really loose. That was when I noticed. People were telling me before I noticed that I looked like I was losing weight but I didn't believe it. However, the more I lose the more changes I see when I look in the mirror.0

I can't tell with my weight too much yet, the first few pounds is usually only water weight. I think once I hit 15 pounds lost I'll notice. But you have to make that relative to your weight/height0

Fitting into old pants is the main way I notice any difference. Honestly, I'm just beginning to notice at a 30 lb loss, I probably won't really notice until I've lost more...sadly.0

I've lost 18lbs and I can't see any difference yet! My gran and a friend have both said my face looks a bit slimmer - by which I think they mean my double chin hahaha - but apart from that, no noticeable difference yet which can be a bit disappointing. But I k ow it will come eventually!
Keep up the good work!0 -
I noticed after 3-4 weeks, I noticed my face and stomach thinning! I also feel so much better and look healthier! And sleep better, more energy and feel pretty haha0

I noticed when a pair of jeans fell to the floor. Thankfully, I was in my own house and I wasn't going commando.0

I noticed after a month and a bit, roughly where I am now really. A few people have also commented on me looking slimmer and more glowing so I can only keep going! BUT I do have 25lbs to lose so at tenish its almost halfway really, the more you have to lose the more weight you'll lose until you notice0

I have issues. I never noticed. I never even noticed that I got fat. People just felt the need to tell me I was. I have always seen myself the exact same way.0

I know I have because I'm buying smaller clothes and the scale is going down and my measurements are decreasing also. But I still don't FEEL smaller.0

You notice when your pants get loose and you go down a size (happens to me every 10-15 pounds). I tended to wear skirts, which kind of helped me become overweight without realizing it because they stretch. I've found that it is good to have at least a couple pairs of non stretchy pants that fit perfect all the time, and then I really notice when they start to get loose.0
