Epidural? Anyone have issues after while working out?

I am three months pp from my second child. I had an unsuccessful epidural inserted, and removed.
Since I began running again I have been getting a dull ache in the area that it was inserted.
Anyone else have this issue? Around how long did you have it? Did it go away?
Just looking for some answers, I don't see my doctor for another three months.
Thanks!

My Epi was inserted successfully on the first try and I had no issues. Hope everything is ok.

I had a spinal tap for my c section and the area agitates me sometimes after workout of if I lean over for too long (bath time with my son is always rough). I'm 8 months pp and know several ladies who still have issues with the pain.

I had epidurals with each of my 4 children.

I do remember after the first that I had a spot of numbness in the area where it had been inserted (it had been successful). It lasted about a year, I think.

I seem to remember that numbness or localized pain are possible side effects. However, if you are concerned, call your doctor - not saying you need to go in or anything, but most doctors have a message line and you can at least ask the question. Hope it doesn't keep you from your workouts in the mean time!! :flowerforyou:
  • I had multiple unsuccessful attempts at spinal taps when I had my c sections. Sometimes I have a dull ache in my back as well as numbness in the last 2 toes on both of my feet occasionally. This usually flares up when I am running or using the elliptical. It has been 3 years since my last child & I still have these issues. Unfortunately I don't think the problem will ever go away. If the pain is excruciating and intolerable I would suggest talking to a doctor. I hope you can get some answers & find some relief.
  • Thank you ladies. What you are describing is exactly what I am experiencing. I appreciate your responses!
