I need ideas for high protein lower calorie foods. I eat probably 70-80% carbs and I know its no good. One problem I have is I don't like eggs. Also, I work 12 hour shifts so food has to be prepared a head of time and easy, maybe even crockpot meals? Any ideas would be great.

as said already meat (turkey and chicken are great for keeping the protein up with fewer calories and pork is supposed to have the most absorbable protein), greek yogurt depending on the brand can be 50/50 carb to protein (I eat the yoplait greek 100 cal. cups, I have heard Dannon is pretty good too), cheese, nuts (these are harder to use alot if you are watching calories)0

Greek yogurt, part-skim mozzarella, reduced fat ricotta cheese, roasted soynuts, seitan. . . .0

Like others said, meat. Tuna and chicken are great. I also eat part skim mozzarella string cheese. It's 50 calories and has 7 or so grams of protein.0

I like protein bars and shakes. The core poer lite protein drinks are just 150 calories, 14 carbs, and a whopping 20 gm of protein. And, they are filling!0

I love a salad with a pouch of tuna, 1/2 cup of low fat cottage cheese and a greek yogurt based dressing, lots of protein there! I have also found that Kroger lite greek yogurt has the least amount of calories and most protein of the greek yogurts they carry.0

I do fresh or frozen boneless skinless chicken in a crock pot cover with water seasons with your favorites, no salt. 4hours on high or 6 hours on low. drain of excess water. you should be able to mash the chicken with a spatula until fully shredded. let cool and place in the refrigerator as the week goes I weight it out into 6 to 8 oz portions and add light mayo or salsa you can do wraps or I like to also cook a rice, bean and corn mixture to have with it a day or two. the key for me is cooking my chicken ahead of time. one of my tips is ALWAYS KNOW WHAT YOUR GOING TO EAT BEFORE YOU GET HUNGRY0
