Hello, everyone! My name is Kris and I'm proud to say I've recently celebrated my 27th birthday feeling in the best shape of my life. :) I have been on MFP for a few months but have only now ventured into the message boards. It's wonderful to see this community thriving!

I started P90X three months ago after falling out of the workout wagon for about two years. Prior to that, I was lifting pretty regularly 4-6 times a week at home. I did martial arts throughout my 20's and stayed active with sports when I was younger. However, I have never had a good nutritional background and I'm paying the consequences now by being underweight. My goal is to increase my energy and rediscover the athleticism I had from my youth. It's a very slow and tedious process to try and gain mass or weight (I feel like eating constantly is my "other job")...but I'm patient and determined to see my goals through.

So far, I've really enjoyed the overall conditioning I've achieved through P90X and being on a 100-Day Burpee Challenge. I've been keeping my options open when it comes to deciding what I should do next, but I think I've narrowed it down to a hybrid routine of Insanity and a kettlebell program.

A little about me... I'm from Seattle and I work in video production. I have a ginormous German Shepherd-Bloodhound puppy and I have super geek tendencies when it comes to comics, photography, video games, movies, costuming, and Seattle Sounders FC soccer.

I'm looking forward to making new friends here, as I've discovered that meeting other health & fitness enthusiasts is one of the best rewards from staying active. I'm especially interested to hear back from anyone in Seattle. Also, feel free to add me on Facebook. I'm always happy to get to know other workout junkies. :)

Deal. How far along are you? I'm finishing up my last week. Could have been a lot more faithful to the schedule but this was my 1st round and won't be last.

Awesome! Gotta love those hybrid programs. Looking forward to trying out Insanity. Easily been my most fit year and I feel like I'm just getting started.

If I haven't been trying to raise my endurance and conditioning through burpees, I'd probably be more afraid to try Insanity. But it can't be any more painful than running. :P

There are different versions of this. I do mine with arms up in the air during jumps.
