Back hurts alot... my pelvis feels abnormally high!

I can't find anything on the web. I am almost 5'9 and very heavy, so I know this makes it a million times worse. But I don't know what's going on at the base of my back. I put my hands there and I don't know if it's really knotted muscle or the solid bones of the pelvis. Does anyone have any information on high pelvises, whether it's a health issue or just because I'm so tall? Because it can hurt like hell with the feeling of pressure and during exercise.
Many thanks!

Have you sought professional medical advice about it? Please don't leave your prognosis to a bunch of internet educated people who wont know what they're talking about for the main and get proper professional medical help.0

Not sure what you mean by a high pelvis?0

doctor.
and I'm 5'8" and so I don't consider 5'9" to be exceptionally tall- and your bones sit where they sit- they don't change a tremendous amount as far as how high up they are- they are what they are and as soon as your growth plates close- that's where they are unless they are out of wack- in which case you are talking 'shifted' rather than it being exceptionally high.
I have things that 'sit high' it is what it is- they just are what they are because that's how I'm built but really it's irrelevant because there are so many ways to put a human together it's just impossible to say for women are height we are supposed to have X situated at Y location exactly.
No one can tell you what's going on through the internet. really- it's best to see a health care professional.0 -
Yeah, don't rely on random internet strangers. I don't know what you mean by a high pelvis either.
Having said that, if I have been inactive for a while, and then I start exercising, I get pain in my sacroiliac joint. I think that's fairly common as we get older/bigger. The sacrum does always seem to be higher than where I used to think it should be, as before I learned a little bit of anatomy I guess I thought the sacrum should be down around the butt crack. It's quite a bit higher than that, though. For reference, when I stand, I can feel my iliac crests (the tops of my pelvic bones at the back and side) are almost as high as my elbows. Not quite the same height, but fairly close.0 -
The tops of my iliac crests are exactly even with the elbows of my stubby T-rex arms. I'm 5'7", but it's like my bottom half is 5' 10" and my top half is 5'4". I seriously wear petite tops and long-length jeans with a short rise.
We're all put together differently, but if you're having pain in your back, they can't just dismiss you with "you need to lose weight" as if you can do that and just live with the pain meanwhile. It could be that you have some active trigger points flaring in your back and you need some myofascial release work done. Do see your doctor; the longer you put it off, the more expensive, painful and difficult it'll be to rectify.0 -

As a physical therapist i can't really make sense of what you mean, you are being very vague. It can be a huge number of things
and also what the doc said, internet not really useful even if you speak with pros, especially when it comes to musculoskeletal issues0 -
See a chiropractor & get adjusted now before things get worse. It does not matter the size!0
