And bacon. I could eat a half pound of bacon in one sitting.

    Is bacon a whole food?

Wait, I don't think peanut butter is a whole food. But yeah, I could eat way too many peanuts easily.

Bacon is not a whole food - it is cured pork with salt and smoke added.

    Sardines are a whole food
    Vegetables are whole foods
Avocados are whole foods etc, etc, etc

Any whole food (one that is not processed/cured/sweetened), regardless of fat content, is going to be nearly impossible for me to overeat.

But the good thing is that so many naturally occurring foods are lite in calories/high in nutrition, so overeating isn't really a problem. The entire fruitarian movement is based on gorging endless of amounts of low fat fruit, and some people still manage to lose eating that way (though contrary to claims, not all lose, and some do gain).

vegetables, especially the dark leafy ones
    Mushrooms
    beans
    oats
couscous, though technically I don't know if this qualifies as a 'whole' food.

Bacon can be found at Whole Foods, therefore it is a whole food QED.

    Or for a different proof:

Bacon is food. Bacon comes in strips which are not broken (whole). Therefore, bacon is a whole food. QED.

I consider a pork roast whole food and know it's easy to over eat on that. The same goes for all natural cheese, cream, butter, nuts and probably many more. But those mentioned are the ones that cause me problems with moderation. I can also easily overeat on artesanal bread, any kind of rice, legumes/pulses, sweet potatoes , pumpkin and all kinds of fish.....I probably could go on, but won't.....lol.

Whole foods in general are hard to overeat. I can pile my plate full of meat, potatoes, beans, etc., and at some point, I will be sufficiently stuffed for freakin hours. Eventually, you'll figure out which foods completely satiate you, super fill you up without causing you to be comatose and provide tons of energy. For me, a plate full of fatty meat with a big ole helping of beans or a small side of mashed taters n gravy are about all I need.

As for my veggies, I have a juicer that I use daily. I can't stand veggies, so juicing them works perfectly for me, and I get plenty of fiber from my beans.
