and that's when i usually fall off the band wagon! the weekend feels like a mini vacation every time, and when i'm on vacation, i allow myself to indulge. i'm on a good path so far: haven't lost much weight, but have lost many inches. i like the way i feel, i like the way i look, and so on. however, i don't trust myself to get through this weekend without binging. who else feels like they can't control themselves over the weekend? share some tips, your goals for the weekend, some tasty recipies, etc. so we can all help each other out! =]
here are my goals for the weekend:
friday: go to spin class / go to the gym
saturday: go to the gym / or go for a walk
sunday: try a new recipie / suggestions anyone?!
we can do this! i hope you all can join me this weekend in trying to make it a healthy one!
good luck everyone =]

Weekends are the worst for me too... We seem to eat out mostly on the weekends and I don't log my food, so come Monday I am feeling gross...
My goal this weekend is to log my food and go to the gym at least one day - it would be great if I could throw a walk/run in there too.
Good Luck0 -
The weekend has already started here in Australia and I have blown my calorie allowance already.0

The weekend is always the hardest for me as well, for the exact same reasons. My close friend is having a 40th birthday party on Saturday & I'm afraid. I had almost given myself a pass until I read this post.
My goal for this weekend is to do the bleachers Sat. morning, log my food "honestly" & do yoga 0n Sunday.0 -
weekends are definitely tricky! try to look at it as the perfect time to spend cooking something new and healthy because you have the time to spend in the kitchen. and when i was in ww, one of the mindsets they wanted us to obtain was that simply going to a restaurant does not constitute a special occasion. now, if it's a birthday or anniversary or something like that, go all out! otherwise, it's just a normal meal being replaced in someone else's kitchen, so hold yourself accountable. great theory....but waaaayyy easier said than done! good luck!0

I have lots of good soup recipes - if you like soup let me know As the weather gets colder here in the midwest - I love throwing a bunch of "good for me" itmes in the crockpot and lett ing it cook all day.
As far as indulging on the weekend - It has helped me to make a list of "distractions" - or things to do when i start thinking of eating. They have to be things that relax you and that you enjoy. For me, it can be calling my 4 year old niece on the phone, taking a shower, painting my nails (works REALLY well because after you paint your nails you can't eat until they're DRY!!!). I've found that often after I do these things - the urge to eat has passed.
let me know how the weekend goes for you - hang in there!0 -
Same here! Whenever we eat out I get really worried about what I am eating
Try taking a photolog of everything you eat so you can log it later. I take photos of everything I eat when we go out to eat so I don't forget. I also try to estimate the portion sizes (which is incredibly difficult for me - I have no sense of volume, weight, distance, or direction...). Having your battleplan laid out already is great too!!0 -
the photolog idea is genius! thanks for the suggestion!0

I did sooooo well duringthe week, looked great in my new I.N.C. leopard dress for a birthday dinner Friday night.......................................then came Saturday...........I just to grazed all day, I hate that! My husband made some awesome, yet fattening, chili with Jimmy Dean sausage for football Sunday, good stuff. I'm so mad at myself I'm not eating the rest of the day, I am having champagne for dinner!0
