How do I lose weight...

And still exercise? the moment I started exercising 2 weeks ago I've been gaining weight. should I do low, low impact until I start losing really good or will it kick back in after a period of time? I understand the whole water retention in the muscle thing, I'm not asking about that... i simply want to know how does weight loss continue with exercising or do I push through it and it will kick back in? Just simply asking.. thanks!

If your muscles are sore they will retain water to repair but that doesn't normally last long, keep going I had same problem now losing 3lbs a week. Effort = Results.0

there's hope! Thank you0 -
You lose weight by eating at a caloric deficit. Exercise helps you A) create a larger deficit
keep you from looking like you are wearing a saggy skin suit C) improve your heart and lung function (cardio workouts) D) improve bone density and joint health (real strength training).
There is a place where strength and cardio should balance. It's not the same for every individual. Should you wait until you've lost weight to do either of them? NO, ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! Exercise NOW for your health. Eat for your weight loss. The 2 will meet and you will be happy with the results.0 -

Holy cow; that answers the question as to why the scale showed a two pound gain after I ran and got very sore hips. Thx!0 -

Exercise doesn't make you gain weight. You may experience a small amount of water weight gain for a week or two as muscles repair. You lose weight by eating at a deficit. Are you eating back the exercise calories? Over estimating calorie burn and eating those calories can throw off your whole budget. Do you weigh and measure all your food and log everything?0
