How do you organise your recipes?!

Hey guys, looking for a little help here. My recipes (a jumble of ones saved to my computer, photographed by my phone, or discovered on Pinterest) have for the most part been divided into "Main Meals", "Sweet Treats", and "Savoury Snacks". And now I have an absurd number under each category and no idea how to re-organise. So, I was wondering how you guys did this.
By the protein? Chicken, beef, fish...etc.
By the carb source? Rice, noodles, pasta...etc.
By the method of cooking? Stir-fry, slow-cooked, baked...etc.
By the type of cusine? Thai, Indian, Chinese...etc.
By the type of dish? Quiches, salads, pies...etc.
HELP! There are just so many different ways I can think to do this and was wondering what worked for other people

All of the above on Keyingrdient.com, so I can have one recipe saved to like 5 cookbooks if necessary. I've been using their recipe and cookbook feature for a long time, and use their recipe reader in the kitchen so I don't destroy my tablet/laptop when I am looking at recipes.
If I had to pick though, I would go by protien. That's usually the most expensive part of the dish, so it's the part I would usually be looking for a recipe to use up what I have left.0 -
I have a database on our computer with all of our recipes along with an inventory of what we have on hand in the house. It makes it really easy to come up with a grocery shipping list or to see what we can make with what we have on hand.0

I organize mine by type, but have a lot of types (main, salad, sauce, dessert, bread, etc.). I also keep a database and have other categories like styles, regions, source, etc. that I can sort by.0

I have a blank recipe book, with different sections. So when I want to write down a new recipe, I find the section it needs to go and write it down in that section. For instance, a cookie or cake recipe goes in "desserts" and meatloaf goes in "beef". There is also a chicken section, a casserole section, etc. etc.0

I just use notes on my iPad/iPhone handy if I'm at the supermarket and need to check what to buy0
