RI30- what were your results like?

I started this program since I want to lose the last couple of inches/pounds. I found people had great results with this, but has anybody started at a normal weight (I am 5'6.5, 137-138 pounds) and seen results still? Did you mix it with cardio? When did you start to see results?

    hiya,

I started at a normal weight and already exercised a lot, but it still made a difference to my shape and made me feel a lot firmer. I had some muscle anyway from years of exercise so it didn't take long for it to show again.

Stick with it and you'll start to see and feel a difference pretty quickly! I started to feel firmer after the first week :-) Just try and eat really well while you're doing it, watch the salt, drink lots of water etc etc. Good luck and enjoy! x

Thanks! I have had a hard time losing weight, especially inches. How many calories did you eat on the program? I have a hard time with calories at night though I eat healthy during the day.
Did you use weights heavier than 5 lbs with this?

I found myself getting really hungry!! I was doing this 5 days a week, swimming 3 times a week and a one hr dance class, so a fair amount of exercise. I think I was eating about 1600 (in total, so not eating exercise cals back on top). I listened to my body and made sure I ate when I felt I needed to. I was pretty much at maintainence at that point - have put on 5 or 6 pounds since then as I've been slacking and eating chocolate! I have to really make an effort or I put weight on easily.

I have about 5 of the Jillian DVD's and I now mix them up as I started to get a bit bored doing the same one over and over! When I was doing this I was at about 127 and the same height as you. People on the forums who have been heavier than me seem to have had great results. Do a search and you'll find lots of before and after pics.

You might want two sets of weights, some things I could do with heavier one and other stuff I had to swap to smaller ones.

I'm the same with eating at night after my dinner. Brushing your teeth sometimes helps lol!

ps, have you worked out your BMR and TDEE - I used TDEE minus about 15% whilst i was doing it I think - which was around 1600 for me

Although not at a normal weight, within one week of doing RI30, I'd lost an inch off my waist and an inch off each thigh. I started RI30 immediately after finishing 30 days consecutive of 30 Day Shred.

I'm definitely in better shape. My 5 year old complains I'm not squidgy enough any more (I am plenty squidgy).

    Thanks for your inputs everyone!

@Flissbo: I've worked out my BMR and TDEE. I log my exercise separately and Im otherwise sedentary, so I burn about 1750 in a day. Exercise adds about 150-200 calories(if you consider RI30) so I eat 600-700 less than that.

I use 5 lb weights right now. I just want to fit comfortably into a size 6.... Im a size 8 now and I kinda feel Im large for my height.

Is that US sizes? I'm in the UK so a 6 is tiny here (US 2 I think?!) I bet you'll notice a difference when after a week or so :)
