hi all
havnt been on in a while, starting back today.
not sure i anyone can help, i work around food constantly which i find so hard, i try & have my 3 meals each day, it still does not stop me over eatting, i find my biggest downfall is knowing when my body is actually hungry instead of eatting when ever i feel like it, hope this makes sense., im fine when im at home or alone, its just my profession thats killing me.

Well when I started eating the right way back about 6 yrs ago I was working in a bakery Deli and I was not only making baked goods but I came in and made the dounuts. It was hard at first but once you get on a schedule and your eating good clean healthy foods and your eating your calories so your not hungry you should not want that food after a while. Unless there is a deeper reason you may made bad food choices or over eat.
Consitancy and schedule with your eating you should be on track in no time and not even think twice about working in the food buisness0 -
PS Pack your own food and stay away from the food you work around that may cause you cravings and problems0

Take your toothbrush to work and everytime you have a break brush your teeth.0

Water or coffee. Coffee is my fave trick. Its so bitter it curbs the appetite and the cafine supresses it as well as a minor boost in metabolism. gum is also a go to. just force food down, cause i know u wont be hungry when ur in that heat and near the food. just eat that way u won't get famished and inhale food.0

Drink water - most people confuse thirst with hunger. Another tip is to make sure you have plenty of snacks and choices available. I prepare several meals on the weekend and prepackage my snacks and take in everything on Monday so that I have choices available at work. I find that when I don't have choices of my own food that I tend to "want" something else.0

i will try this, sometimes i feel it could be an emotional problem, like this week i can feel my work trousers so much tighter , this is really disheartening as i do excercise regularly, its literally what i eat while i work is the only problem.
i really need to stay focused.0 -
I feel you..I work in Mcdonalds  luckily I'm on my feet all the time so when I get a break I don't want to stuff my face..I just want to sit down
My best advice is to pack your own snack/lunch and to have something before you go so you don't get hungry :flowerforyou:0 -
I agree with the water tip. I work at Chili's Bar && Grill in my town and our food is the most delicious and unhealthy food lol. Lately I've been eating right before I go into work, that way I'm not starving to begin with when I get there...and I usually burn off what I ate by the end of the night. And I feel the same way about my work clothes. I'll think I'm losing weight and then as soon as I put my work pants on I get discouraged. But if you're washing them a lot as I do, they're going to feel tighter. Just keep exercising and eating healthy, once you begin to see the results you want, cravings will be no problem0
