Hi guys,
I wanna vary the types of fruit and veggies i eat to make sure i'm getting all the nutrients i need so thought about juicing/blending them to make them taste better. I particularly would like to add spinach/more green veg to my diet so any tips on juice/smoothies i could make that don't really taste like veggies would be appreciated.
FYI things i HATE are cauliflower, sprouts, mushrooms and parsnips so please don't suggest those lol

You need to experiment to match you own taste. Carrot juice helps to sweeten the mix but watch out for adding fruits, they will pack on the sugars fast. Frozen blueberries are another sweetener without to high sugar. Here is my daily breakfast that took a week or two to get used to but now I crave. I got the Jack juicer from Costco for $90 and it works fine. No need to spend $300.
4oz carrot juice
4oz beet juice
one carrot
one celery
one apple
1 cup blueberries
2 cups spinach.
It looks worse than baby crap but I like it thick and this carries me through a very light lunch into dinner.0 -
Frozen blueberries really help cover up the taste of spinach and also help keep the entire drink cold and refreshing.
For greens, baby spinach is the mildest tasting and the easiest to cover up.
Watch out for some of the stronger ones - kale in particular - as some people's stomachs don't agree with kale.
I usually do 2 tbs greek yogurt (plain), hand full of almonds, banana, cup of frozen blueberries and then baby spinach to the top.
That holds me good, and if I know I won't have time for lunch I put in an apple with skin.0 -
I take what ever fruit is in season and add a handful of spinach or kale, a scoop of protein powder, some yogurt if I have it, maybe some ground flax. Blend. I like banana and strawberry. Blueberry is nice too. It's just a matter of throwing in what ever I have. Pumpkin and spices is nice. Good luck.0

Dr. Oz's Green Smoothie
Make the breakfast drink that Dr. Oz swears by! This “Dr Oz Green Drink” is high in fiber, low-calorie and rich in vitamins.
Dr Oz Green Drink Recipe
Ingredients
1 cups fresh baby spinach
1 cups cucumber / (I use about a 1-2" chunk)
1 stalk of celery / cut up use 1/2 to 1
1/4 inch or teaspoon ginger root / don't always have this on hand so it is optional
1 bunch parsley / small handful / (same as above)
1 Med. apple or 2 small apples
Juice of 1 lime /
Juice of 1/2 lemon /
Directions
Combine all ingredients in a blender. This makes approximately 12-16 ounces, or 1-2 servings.
The key to this tasting good is the fresh squeezed lime and lemon - I use a lime squeezer it is a great tool. Also I add about 3-4 ice cubes.. tastes better cold.
