Cardio+ workout routine

Hey guys,
I just wanted some feedback on my workout routine. Recently I switched my workout plan, I do weights for 15 minutes then High intensity cardio on the elliptical. I usually do 35 minutes on elliptical machine, my heart rate is usually pretty high maybe a little above the " fat loss zone", the machine also provides me with the information that I burn 400 calories with this workout. I'm usually sweating and push myself a lot to finish the cardio. A lot of people have said High intensity cardio wont provide you with results, that your heart rate should be in the "fat loss zone". any suggestions please!
