I usually don't have this many calories at lunchtime, but what can I say...I'm hungry and was craving some chili...and I've got plenty of calories left for the rest of the day so here I go!!! What's on your plate today??
My lunch today: cup of chili, herb-roasted yukon gold potatoes (can't have chili without potatoes!!!); strawberries/raspberries; Persian cucumber with toasted sesame ginger dressing.

i had half a Chipotle Chicken Sandwich from Panera. it was tiny for the # of calories (400)! had an apple and a handful of walnuts and almonds to help fill me up. Panera is becoming less and less tempting to me.0

Went to the grocery store deli and got one of their pick 3 meals. I got 3 chicken strips but only ate 1 - saving the other 2 for dinner. For sides I got their seafood salad and this new pasta one that had squash, broccoli, and zucchini in it and I thought it was really good.0

Went to DQ and had a side salad with Italian vinaigrette and a cheeseburger. Yummy!0

Looks delicious but maybe not as much protein as I like.
I had a romaine, beets, goat cheese and smoked salmon salad, with two blueberry cheesecake ice cream wedges (from Trader Joe's).0 -

I know what you mean about sandwiches...you'd "think" a chicken sandwich would be healthy!!! This happened to me the other day -- was in an all-day meeting at work...they ordered lunch. Cubano sandwiches -- LOVE THOSE!!! Seemed relatively healthy (ham and pork - lean meats, right??) I was "almost" tempted...googled it and found that they have about 700 calories!!! YIKES!!! That's more than half my entire day...decided to just stick with what I brought (think goodness I did!) and save those big calories to have a nice dinner instead. Definitely learning!!!0 -

This isn't my typical lunch; was just craving chili for some reason!!! Usually I have a turkey and ham sandwich. I know what you mean about protein -- actually, I looked at my weight report this week, and I noticed that when I seem to have my biggest weight drops are the day or two after eating a lot of protein.0 -

I had a pastrami-and-tomato sandwich with garden vegetable Laughing Cow, and a side salad of beets, carrots, and spinach. It was pretty great.0
