I'm starting again tomorrow. Got to week 6 or so the first time and got off track. Want to run a sub 30 minute 5K by the spring, organized or not. Have you started yet? Its a good time :)
  • Take it slow. You shouldn't really go from couch to 5k, but couch to walk to slow jog, and the whole process takes a couple of months. If you truly feel the need to do the 5k, please listen to your body. If you feel aches and pains that don't seem right, stop training and get some rest. I've been running since I was a kid, and haven't quit, but when I'm injured, I rest and let the healing process take place.

I sooo want to succeed in this but I have picked up the same injury 3 times! My progress has been stilted. I am re repeating week 3 it is frustrating, I don't get too out of breath I am not very tired but I really do not want my calf to go ping again! So slowly does it for me , have decided this is my final attempt if I get injured again I am going to stick to walking. Such a shame if that happens as I am secretly harbouring a desire to do a triathlon , couldn't do that walking! Lol!!!!

It is a great programme enjoy!
  • I was actually talking about the running program "Couch To 5k".
Its a gradual running plan geared to get you doing a 5k .
