Do you worry if your sugar goes over?

Hi,

I am over on my sugar everyday but I don't eat any processed foods so it all comes from fruit and other natural products.

I shouldnt worry about that should i?

Thanks in advance,
Rachel

Unless you have a medical condition that requires monitoring it, I would say no. I don't track it. :)

I was worried about that too, but someone on MFP pointed out that the sugar counter doesn't know the difference between sugars garnered from say... fruits and sugar from other types of food. I though this was interesting.

MFP's sugar recommendation is based on the WHO's recommendation for added/refined sugar...this is due largely to people's propensity to drink several 40 Oz Big Gulps per day and wonder why the frack they're obese. There is no formal, sanctioned recommendation for total sugar that I am aware. Just manage your macros, don't micromanage your micros unless you have a valid medical reason to do so.
