Has anyone seen the movie called Hungry for Change? You can stream it on Netflix. Just wondering about people's thoughts. There's a preview here, http://www.hungryforchange.tv/

so ...sugar is evil, corporations are bad because they make food taste good, and it sounds like they are promoting some kind of vegan/clean eating scheme as the only way to lose weight....and let me guess sugar killed president Kennedy too...

In...and gets on tin foil hat....

My husband and I watched it last night. We found some of it quite interesting....some of it was very obviously sensationalist.

I've seen it, as well as several other documentaries along these lines (forks over knives etc). I do think there's some valid points in these documentaries. I'm in the process of transitioning to a mostly whole foods, plant based diet for health reasons. But no, I don't believe being a vegan or even vegetarian is the healthiest way to eat, I don't believe in cleanses or that juicing is the optimal way to get in nutrients, and I think things like sugar are fine in small amounts :)

so they are saying that if you eat in a deficit but eat "dirty" food you will not lose? rolls eyes...
  • I recently watched this documentary and found it very interesting. Granted, they are taking some ideas a bit far, but overall it did give me some things to consider when grocery shopping.
