I decided to start trying to lose weight recently, and I am considering starting to use a weight loss supplement. Does anyone have any suggestions on a good kind/brand to use. I'm not looking for anything in particular. Just something that will give me the energy I need to work out after work everyday.

If you need energy to work out, eat.

Drink some coffee or tea. But don't waste your money on pills.

Karli - you've lost 4 lbs of water weight from your low-carb diet. The pills had absolutely nothing to do with it.

You could always just do a calorie deficit and save your money.

I believe the pills she wants are for energy to enable working out, not weight loss

Be careful on supplements that boost energy as they've posed a health risk to many. Yes, the proper diet and exercise will give you energy, but after I plateaued, I looked for something to help kickstart my weight loss back in gear. I specifically looked for a supplement that did not have any stimulants and have been very happy with Cellucor's CLK. It has CLA (Conjugated linoleic acid), Raspberry Ketones, 7-Keto and Carnitine.

only things i would recommend are--

    1. a woman's multi vitamin with plenty of all the B's. if your multi is lacking B's, then add a B-complex supplement.
    2. chromium picolinate.
  • If you are looking for something to give you an energy boost, I have used Black Cats by Applied Nutriceuticals and did not experience a crash. But if you want something to help with endurance during workouts and help with recovery, I use Drive (by far the best supplement I have taken) by Applied Nutriceuticals. These supplements are not meant to be taken daily forever. You take them for 3 months then go off of them for 3 months. After doing a lot of research, I ordered a bottle of Cellucor's CLK to help with my weight loss.

Skip the pills, buy some music on itunes: Eminem, AC/DC, Flo Rida... and blast them! That fuels my workouts just fine:drinker:
  • My advice would be to do your research before you decide to use any kind of supplement. I buy my supplements from http://www.ephedraconnection.com/ They have a pretty good selection.

Vitamin B complex with just a tad of caffeine should give you all the energy you need.

Anything more serious than that then make sure you've had your heart checked lately.

And raseberry keytones? Really? Really? Thanks doctor OZ, you may leave now and take your snake oil with you. Feel free to grab back your water weight on the way out.
